The Team

Alayne is a Registered Nurse with a Batchelor’s Degree in Nursing. She trained at Middlemore Hospital and has worked in a wide variety of positions such as Intensive Care, Post anaesthetic care, Coronary care but has specialised in Operating Room Nursing/surgical assisting and post-operative care for the past 25 years.

Alayne has a special interest in Plastic surgery both Cosmetic and Reconstructive, with a current emphasis on skin cancer treatment and reconstruction. She has been working as the Theatre manager at Marina Specialists theatre at Half Moon Bay Marina for the past nine years.

In her spare time, she enjoys off-road 4×4 driving, vintage and sports cars, reading, travelling and spending time with her family and friends

Marianne is a Registered nurse born and raised in Christchurch where she did her nursing training which included General Surgery, Orthopaedics, General Medicine, Rheumatology and Intensive Care. She moved to Auckland in the late 1980’s working extensively in Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery. A large part of her experience was at Middlemore Hospital Plus Surgery Department as a Theatre nurse and for the past 8 years, she has been one of the two nurses running the Marina Specialists operating theatre at Half Moon Bay Marina assisting with surgery and providing post-operative nursing care.

Due to her broad range of nursing experience and knowledge, she is able to provide high quality individualized post-operative care and positively support her patients through their surgical journey.

Marianne is married, enjoys cooking, badminton and managing her teenage daughter’s hockey team.

Rebecca is a Medical Typist with many years’ experience in administration, which she greatly enjoys. She has previously typed for our dermatologists at Marina Specialists and now types for Martin Rees, Plastic surgeon. Rebecca has several other roles, being receptionist for Marina Physio and relief receptionist at Pakuranga and Beachlands Physio as required.

Rebecca is married with two daughters, and she has a ginger tabby cat so there is never a dull moment at her house! In her spare time Rebecca likes walking, reading, gardening and photography.
